ALARM RECEIVING CENTRES

The
following solutions show one or more different characteristics that are often
focused on by each customer type. Often the solutions are combined and one function
does not exclude another.
| | | | | | | | | |
| | | | | |
| interVIEW as a solution for alarm
receiving centres supports many alarm signals per minute and a large number of
operators at the same time. interVIEW presents the necessary instructions
to be executed by the alarm operator in the actual incident, ensuring consistent
and correct treatment of each customer. The instructions may be managed by
a calendar as regards opening and closing times. By prioritising different
alarm types, filtering legal alarms as control signals, arming and disarming and
distinguishing between real alarms and service alarms, it is possible to secure
efficient alarm handling and efficient utilisation of operator resources.
interVIEW is also able to handle different kinds of signals automatically
sent as SMS messages without involving the operator. Sending for contacts, watchmen,
the police, etc., may take place via shortcut keys that all generate logs in the
system. Telephone numbers can be dialled via the TAPI interface directly to
the telephone system, so the operator does not have to dial any number himself.
A call can also take place via communication with other systems such as external
watchman systems. All operator events in an alarm incident are logged
in the system. In connection with calls, the system supports the possibility
of personal control using personal passwords, watchman passwords and installer
passwords. Sub-codes or result codes, e.g., codes describing whether a call was
OK, Busy, or No answer, can be linked to all events. Codes are chosen from pre-defined
pick lists, saving the operator some work without compromising the detailed documentation.

THE MANNED ALARM RECEIVING CENTRE interVIEW for manned municipal alarm receiving centres meets the need
to receive many different alarms. The municipal alarm receiving centre is often
placed at the fire brigade central and primarily receiving automatic fire alarms
and 112 alarms from the alarm receiving centres, but other tasks are also undertaken.
interVIEW is, for instance, also capable of receiving local distress alarms, burglar
alarms, elevator alarms and technical alarms. interVIEW presents the required
instructions to be executed by the alarm operator in the alarm incident. It is
possible to enter very precise instructions and it is also possible to highlight
the important information using a special font or colour. Descriptions are
important as they often contain different kinds of instructions for the very different
alarm types. Especially fire alarms require quick response by the operator.
interVIEW supports a number of automatic functions such as calls to radio systems,
listing of address information on garage screens, opening of garage doors and
sending of control signals via the ANET, etc. This means that the operator only
has to execute the required manual functions and can safely hand over a number
of automatic functions to interVIEW. All automatic actions as well as operator
actions are logged in the system. See configuration: Ishøj

THE
AUTOMATIC ALARM RECEIVING CENTRE interVIEW for the automatic municipal alarm receiving centre
meets the needs for special security and system control requirements. The
automatic municipal alarm receiving centre is often placed at the fire brigade
and primarily receiving automatic fire alarms and 112 alarms from the alarm receiving
centres. All instructions are executed automatically: Calls to radio systems,
the sending of x and y co-ordinates to VDO, listing of address information on
garage screens, opening of garage doors and sending of control signals via the
ANET (only in Denmark), etc. Communication with some radio systems makes it possible
to receive status reports from the vehicles and to register personnel at the station.
When an alarm is received, everything must run optimally. This requires detailed
system control. If any errors occur in the system, it is important to act and
solve the errors before any alarms are received. interVIEW can be configured
to generate different types of system alarms that are able to trigger different
instructions in case something is wrong - from missing connections to various
alarm receivers, no acknowledgement of radio calls and the possibility of sending
an alarm to a manned alarm receiving centre. All automatic actions, status reports
and acknowledgements are logged in the system.

PRIVATE COMPANIES | |
| | | | | |
In
private companies, interVIEW is often one system among many that is used for one
or more special tasks. Therefore, it is very important that interVIEW gives the
required overview to ensure that the operator is not in doubt about which action
to take. It is possible to present alarm information graphically combined with
text instructions. If interVIEW is not used as the primary system, this may be
of great help to operators who must be skilled in many different systems.
interVIEW supports relay activation for the sounding body, etc., thereby enhancing
the attention when an alarm is received. It is possible for the alarm operator
to enter text directly in the alarm log. This text, and other system and operator
events, is logged in the system.

ivWATCH
is a surveillance
program that, once installed on a server, can monitor applications on the server
to ensure that they run optimally and all network connections are in order.
ivWATCH
keeps an eye on the error log in the Windows Event viewer. Watch programs can
be configured with the codes that are to be monitored and sent to interVIEW, which,
of course, is part of the network. In case of error, an SMS message is automatically
sent to the person responsible for IT and networks, who can then take action and
prevent system breakdown. Communication form is TCP/IP.
