police software

All the Danish police call centres use interVIEW to receive and handle their 112-alarms.

interVIEW presents the operator with 112-alarms, alarm information and position on a digital map. The same digital map displays the position of the police vehicles. With a single click of the mouse, the operator can immediately assign the alarm as a task to one (or more) vehicles. In the vehicle, the task is received and displayed in the vehicle’s GPS navigational system, instantly calculating and displaying the fastest path to the alarm site.

Alarm dispatch improves Response Times

The digital process greatly improves the response times from receiving the alarm (from the ARC) to dispatching the alarm to a police vehicle.

The improved response times are achieved by the following features:

  • Automatically receiving and displaying the alarm on the digital map
  • Automatically displaying vehicles in the vicinity
  • Quickly dispatching the alarm directly to the GPS unit in one (or more) vehicles

Quality Control

Naturally, an important parameter for the police is to be able to arrive as quickly as possible to the alarm site. Consequently, interVIEW logs these events to allow the police to continuously measure and improve their performance.

These statistics are used to continuously perform quality checks as conducted by the National Danish Police and to continuously optimise the geographical dispersion of police vehicles.

Video Surveillance
Using the interVIEW video module, the Police monitors internal facilities. The video module seamlessly integrates with existing video systems. In case of an alarm, a video feed is immediately displayed to the operator. This way, the operator can immediately assess and prioritise the alarm.

Burglar Alarms
The Police also use interVIEW to monitor their unstaffed facilities. By receiving burglar alarms, the police can react to their own security breaches. interVIEW integrates to almost all commercially available alarm receivers.

Sirens
The Danish siren warning network is also controlled by interVIEW. In case of a national emergency, the authorities use sirens all over the country to alert the population. interVIEW can activate all the sirens in Denmark or selected sirens in regional emergencies, such as large fires or chemical spills.

The Danish siren network is automatically tested every day, but in silent mode. A complete and full acoustic test is done once a year when all sirens are activated at noon on the first Wednesday in May.

iV-notes - sharing information
For large accidents or emergencies, the Danish Emergency Agencies launch joint efforts to coordinate resources. For this purpose, they use interVIEW notes (iV-notes), which is a network-based messaging system developed by Innovative.

iV-notes streamlines communications by combining e-mail, instant messaging, display boards and more in one simple system. iV-notes ensures quick and effective information across the organization as well as between several operators at the same workplace.

In case of an emergency, the Danish Emergency Agencies, including fire stations and hospitals, alert each other and coordinate resource - Quickly and efficiently.
