Municipal Alarm MonitoringinterVIEW is used by different types of Municipal Alarm Monitoring Stations such as local control centres and Fire Brigades to handle alarms, manage information and assign resources. The flexibility of interVIEW makes the platform an ideal solution for both manned as well as unmanned Municipal Alarm Monitoring Stations.
Staffed Municipal Monitoring StationsStaffed Monitoring Stations, such as emergency response agency, receive and handle various types of alarms that each may require a specific response.
In the Control Centre in many Fire Departments in Denmark, interVIEW is the prefered system for receiving fire alarms. When interVIEW receives a fire alarm, an instruction is presented to the operator, detailing the specific steps required to handle the alarm. interVIEW can even assist the operator by performing certain actions automatically, such as calling radio systems or display address information on a large screen in the Fire Department garage.
The Municipal Alarm Monitoring Station can receive and process different alarms and interVIEW helps the operator to make a proper action in the specific situation.
With a 112-alarm interface, interVIEW can receive and process 112 emergencies calls received from the Emergency Call Centre. But interVIEW can treat many kinds of alarms. With an IP alarm receiver interface, monitoring station can receive and process IP-based alarm systems. Using commercially available alarm receivers, interVIEW can receive all sorts of alarms based on different technologies, including analogue, GSM/GPRS, PSTN, IP an many more.
Municipal Alarm Monitoring Station optionsWith interVIEW, Monitoring Stations can perform more tasks using their existing resources:
Monitoring IP alarms at the Municipal StationTCP/IP based transmissions are fast on the rise, so naturally interVIEW supports TCP/IP based alarms via, for instance, DSL.
TETRA - Danish Public Safety Network (SINE)Innovative is a certified supplier for the TETRA-based SINE network in Denmark. interVIEW can assign resources using radio dispatch to TETRA communication.
Multiple Monitoring Stations can share a common distributed solution with a common ICCS access to the TETRA network. This provides stable communication while ensuring large savings at the same time. Learn more from this illustration.
Extending Municipal ServicesThe manned Control Centre can expand its service to citizens, using the modules and add-ons offered by interVIEW.
Unstaffed and Autonomous Alarm MonitoringMany Monitoring Stations are staffed during daytime, but unstaffed during the evening and night (also called Autonomous Call Centres) and depend on systems that can automate the alarm handling process. When interVIEW receives an alarm, it can automatically perform the following tasks:
Digital Information at the Municipal Monitoring StationFor large accidents, the Danish Emergency Agencies must launch joint efforts to coordinate resource allocation. For this purpose they use the interVIEW notes (iV-notes) module, which is a network messaging system. iV-notes combines various network applications (e.g. e-mail, instant messaging and display boards) in one application. iV-notes ensures fast and effective delivery of information across the whole organization as well as between multiple operators at the same site. In case of a public emergency, the national Danish Emergency Agency, including fire stations and hospitals, can alert each other and effectively coordinate and assign resources.
